Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 7:11PM It was a fabulous start to the year! I have 2 great classes. I know we are going to keep busy with the reading and writing workshop! We have already read some great literature; Enemy Pie, Lily's Purple Plastic Purse, and we started Because of Winn-Dixie. Can't wait to observe all the great reading and writing that will take place this year!

Teachers had their first "official" day today. 4th grade is getting a new teacher, and we are happy to welcome our hire to the team. She will be a great fit! Looking forward to the school's groundbreaking tomorrow, and meeting my new students at "Meet the Teacher!"
Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 5:27PM The original intention of this website was to covey my thoughts, plans and assignments for the writing workshop, but looks like we're adding reading. I'm so excited as the reading and writing workshops go together like peas and carrots!
Friday, August 5, 2011 at 5:10PM Made it back safely from Grandma's. Enjoyed spending time with her and other family. The best part was relearning the rules to a domino game, "Mexican Train."
Now it's really time to get in gear for school. Ready or not!!
